Project description: Working directly with the architect from early concept stages, we aided the design team in vetting various cladding materials and enclosure systems of the project. The feasibility studies for the volcanic stone and foamed aluminum rainscreen cladding were incorporated in the unitization explorations and ultimately, detailing of the building systems. As the façade detailing was developed, it was integrated directly into the architectural sets and worked through with the façade contractor, Island Exterior Fabricators for final design, fabrication, and installation.
