Project description: StudioTJOA assisted Living Design Studios (LDS) during a number of meetings to discuss and share early insights on the custom screen for the new Dairy Block’s Maven Hotel. During these meetings, TJOA partner, Audrey Worden brought her knowledge of design assist, product design, and enclosures to the project; recommending explorations in everything from the potential for snow buildup and ice accretion, bird nesting mitigations, and even acoustical considerations as it pertained to wind and possible whistling.
Additionally, TJOA covered anchorage techniques to allow for differential movement of the screen system to the glazing system beyond.
