SPOTME CONFERENCE ROOM

In this proposal, the screening element is made of cork board slats that are pinned at the base and hung from the head of the glazed opening then and rotated at varying angles which results in a twisting effect across the length of the cork. This twisting, along with human perspective and movement within the space, creates an ever changing screen that creates both a visual interest and increases privacy for those in the conference room. The cork slats are comprised of two materials: Cork and hardboard. The hardboard is laminated to the cork to ensure the cork does not tear. This provides an opportunity for the hardboard side to be painted, resulting in playful moments as the slats twist.
